it depends on the team, calling will work best
some will refund, some will credit you for other games, some will hold your money with interest and credit you for future games. I cant imagine a pro team will keep your money and give you nothing- thats called theft, and is generally frowned upon.
its too bad some people like trolling threads so much. Id call sooner than later though, if the NFL lockout is any indication, the Cavs may be laying people off as the lockout goes on, making it harder to get your question answered

yea good points... I agree that it should be considered theft. I just am not sure because I recently heard that the Hornets were offering a money-back type of situation, which I don't really understand why that would make the news--isn't every team doing that?

You get refunded for any games missed for the Cavs. Not sure about other teams but for the Cavs your good
