Hello from Guam!

Hello. My name is Mark Vincent Pernia, from Guam. I started collecting basketball cards during my elementary years back in the Philippines. However, when my family relocated here on Guam, I stopped collecting when I reached the eighth grade. I collected basketball cards again, as well as getting into baseball and football cards when I reached college. With that said, I probably have more than five years of collecting experience, but I am still learning more about the hobby each and everyday that I read pricing guides, watch box breaks and mail days, and bid, buy, and/or sell online. With this forum as another inclusion to my resources, I hope to meet new people around the world and hear their collecting experiences, and of course, trade cards every now and then.

I started on a Kobe Bryant Collection since I got my 2010-2011 Panini Timeless Treasures Signatures Silver of Kobe Bryant 19 of 99 from Beckett Grading Services. The card is graded 9.5 while the autograph is graded 10. I did not pull this card, but I did get the card for a very good price. I only had one great pull in my lifetime so far and that is a 2007-2008 Topps Chrome 1957-1958 Variations X-Fractor Autograph of John Stockton 1 of 5. I sent this card for grading also along with the Kobe Bryant card I mentioned. Although I received a disappointing 9 for the card and a 10 for autograph. The card is truly flawless and deserve a 9.5 at least. Even my buddies in my local card shop said it deserve a higher grade. Oh well. Thank you very much for reading this post.
