I have always felt that the best time to END an ebay auction is usually between 8 and 9 pm Eastern Standard Time (New York) on Sunday nights.

Definitely at night, after work hours. 6pm-9/10 ET as was mentioned. I would think Monday thru Thursday is pretty solid too, most ppl are home during the week. Friday and Sat nights obv are prob pretty quiet.

it is definitly Sunday evenings EST.

I have saved searches that have not changed since November. With the ebay app on my Iphone, it get a notifcation when a new card is listed that matches my search descriptions. Sunday's by far is the most busy.

I have been selling cards on eBay since 1999. I've sold well over 5,000 single card auctions.

Almost everything I sell, ends between 7:00pm and 10:30pm Eastern Standard Time in the US/Canada.

Often time if I have many Swedish or Finnish cards, I will list them to end in PrimeTime in Scandinavia.

That's a solid bit of advice that I bet a lot of sellers overlook -- if the majority of the people who'd want your item are living overseas, make sure that they get all the opportunity in the world to fight over it!
