Cards from Goodwill auction site
I just bought about 8 pounds of basketball cards from the late 80's to the early 90's from Goodwill's auction site. These cards range from NBA Hoops, Upper Deck, Donruss & Topps. I paid a total of 24 bucks for these cards. Now, are these cards sorted through by Goodwill? Is there a chance that I can find something worth some money or not? I'm just wondering if the price I paid for these cards justify the type of cards. Does anybody know how Goodwill sells stuff? Do they look into the value of cards or do they just sell them to make the price that they set them for?

Have you sorted them, looked through them yet? That would a good start.
And how many cards does 8lbs get ya? lol
A 5000ct box of commons probably weighs 20lbs and one can't sell them for more then $5-10 so I hope you got some good cards in there!

No I just bought them online today. I was just wondering if anybody else bought cards from their site and found something worth keeping.

Nppe, I never bought from them, but in general from my understanding people donate a lot of cards to them (or sell large amounts for small prices), and are mostly base/commons and in some cases not in good condition. Couple that with they are from late 80's and early 90's it's not looking good!
Let us know how it turns out.

When I was moving last year I tried to donate a bunch of base cards to the local good will but the guy didn't want them. I didn't have any room for them in my new house so I ended up throwing them out. X=(
