Habs Re-Sign Josh Gorges!
1 year, $2.5M.
I'm glad that my main man will be back with the club for another year, but I'm a bit disappointed that it's just a one year contract. I get a feeling that the club is giving him the "show me" contract that they decided not to give Markov. Hopefully Josh can show them enough to warrant re-signing next year as he enters UFA status.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

Yeah he's an interesting case. I don't think anybody doubts that he cares and was as disappointed as anybody with his performance last year, but wow talk about a guy that needs to step up his game BIG TIME.
I will have my full thoughts on the Gorges signing posted soon. :)

Gotta love old friends...
"I think he‘s a little bit overpaid, but that‘s good because he‘s going to pay for everything else this week," joked Shea Weber, a teammate of Gorges from the 2004 Memorial Cup champion Rockets, during the second intermission of Sunday‘s glorified, but exciting scrimmage session. Teamed up again, Gorges and Weber helped Gav‘s Gunners, coached by Rockets vice-president of business development Gavin Hamilton, to a lopsided 11-3 win over Steamer‘s Stallions, coached by Neil Schmidt.
