    Need assistance please!!!

All my fellow SCF members, I am being transferred by the military up to the DC area (after being in Miami for the past 4 years). I am in need of advice and assistance on how the Nats are in signing habits, when to be at the games, where to get the sigs, etc..... Any help would be deeply appreciated. I just hope DC is as good of a place to obtain autographs as Miami was.

Good as south Fl? No, not by a long shot. Where is your next duty station? I'm in Pax River which is about an hour south of DC. However, the CSA shows make up for it. Check out the one heading this way in Oct. Rumor has it Yogi and Hank will be signing up.

Baltimore seems like it is 100x better to graph than the Marlins. NBA in DC should be way better than in Miami, too. I always thought Miami kind of sucked for graphing. Even with the major sports, there isn't spring training unless you go up the coast. The only reason I would have wanted to live closer to Miami than where I am in Fort Myers is proximity to PGA events. You should do fine and catch on quickly in DC.

I have been to a few NAtionals games. I think on Sundays they have two or three players at the gates doing signings before the game. They are also pretty good at signing along the wall near the dugout, I got Matt Capps last year like that. The best part is the tickets aren't that crazy in that area, at least for me who can't get near that section in Yankee Stadium. I know it costs me less to take the train down to DC, get Nats tickets near the dugout, and drink a few beers than it is for the Yankees tickets in the same area alone.
I know the Nats also provide extra stuff for veterans sometimes, like free tickets and on-field stuff. It's worth looking into. I wish the Yankees did that for veterans at times, maybe I could get close to the field then.
Good luck. You will enjoy Nationals Park, its a nice stadium with plenty to do and is easy to get to via the Metro. Just get off at the Navy Yard stop. It might be worthwhile to call the NAtionals and ask them about the guys signing at the gates. You might get lucky down the line this year and get Strasburg signing or maybe Danny Espinosa. They are going to be a good team in a few years so all these nice perks might stop. Good luck.

If you have a youtube account, message these guys... I know they're based in DC and may be able to help you out.
