    Getting a softball signed

    hey guys I am going to see the USSSA Pride on Friday and going to get Cat Osterman on an 8x10 but for the players I dont have pictures of I am taking a softball. Should I take a pen or a marker.?
    Any help is appreciated.

    I only have a few signed softballs...

    This is my sisters ball she had her team sign 12 years ago, most of the signatures held up but the person who signed here used some sort of pen that really faded:


    Here are balls that were signed in marker about 3 years ago by Natasha Watley and Jessica Mendoza (who actually are both on the Pride now):



    Whichever you prefer, some of the other signatures that were in pen on my sister's ball were fine, I guess it just depends on the pen. Have fun at the game, I'm jealous -- I'm up in Jersey and there's no pro softball teams around here.. would love to get some of their autographs I don't have yet. Be sure to post your results!

    depends what kind of ball you have, but probably a thin sharpie would be best.

    if the ball is not leather a sharpie will probably start to bleed eventually. depending on how many signatures your getting, pen usually saves some space too.
