Thumbs down Panini Employees = Boneheads (wrong player pictured)

Well I was looking to add stuff to my PC from the latest panini stuff released and noticed this. I'm pretty sure that the Artis Gilmore NBA logo patch cards have the wrong player pictured on them. I'm pretty certain that the player pictured IS NOT Artis Gilmore. It's Norm Van Lier!!!!!!!!!!

    Way to go Panini!!!!!!!

    Here's one of them:

    Here's a clearer one:

True, but often for other companies it's more of a printing error, however, with Panini, they mistakenly matched the wrong player (Norm Van Lier) with the card. It couldn't have been a printing mistake because Norm Van Lier has died so they would not be making auto cards for him to sign.

This is not the first time Panini has made this mistake, they made a similar mistake with last year's studio set with one of the players.

Hopefully, Upper Deck or Topps will be able to get rights to the NBA one of these days again.

I know Panini put the wrong player on Alvin Adams Prestige cards this year...he was sending out correct copies that he had made TTM.

Oh, and on the new Rookies & Stars, they put AJ Hawk's picture on the Clay Matthews card. Now THAT'S inexcusable.
