Your favorite break...

I know this may be in the wrong section, but I figure it has to do mainly about pack/box breaks..

Anyway, what was your best, or favorite, break of all time?

Doesn't have to be the break in which in you got the best or most valuable card, just the one that you most enjoyed and is most meaningful.

Mine:

It was my 12th birthday

My dad got me two $2.99 retail packs of upper deck hockey series 1. Opened the first pick, nothing. Opened the second pack, and there it was....in the middle of the pack...a Sidney Crosby Young Guns rookie card.

And I got one in retail.

Even though I could get 250 for it easily now, I'll never sell it.

Unfortunately my dad passed away. So it just remains in my binder all time. I don't give a crap about the condition, the corners, or anything.

As long as its there, I'm happy.

I'm pretty sure it was a box of 03/04 spx (might be off on the year) I pulled a Gretzky/Thornton/Spezza numbered out of 25, I've pulled more expensive cards since than, but that was my introduction to the nicer jersey cards. Before that it was always a single white swatch of someone I didn't particularly care for.

A couple of years ago I bought a box of 99-00 SPA on eBay for about $30. Pulled an Orr SPA SOTT Gold Auto /25. Needless to say I was thrilled!

I drove with my family down to albany and I found a card store in the mall I as shopping at. Bought a couple packs of SPA and in one of them I pulled a Joe Thornton SP Chirography 07-08 /75. Started my Thornton PC and is my best PC pull of all time

Mine was a 96/97 pinnacle zenith wayne gretzky champion salute diamond chip parallel of the cheaper champion salute,bought 8 packs of zenith at the mall before we went to the hospital so my wife could have our son,I have an article about it in the article submissions section.

this is going to be a couple of stories into one...went ito the lcs one day, just to talk sports. notice he had some 05-06 series 2 packs sitting there i bought about for of them. I made the call that there would be an ovi young gun. low and behold a few packs in there it was sitting. A few months down the road same thing went to the flea market with my cousin seen a guy selling series 2 packs for 2 bucks bought a couple called the ovi gods out again. Same thing happened. My cousin was there both times it happened too. I believe i pulled 3 of them just from buying the odds packs here and there. got rid of 2 of them still got one keeping it for pc.
