Bob Stanley Hates Me
I recently came upon an 8X10 of game six of the 1986 World Series as the ball goes through Bill Buckner's legs. I thought I would try and get the sigs of the three people most prominently featured in the pic, which are Stanley, Mookie Wilson, and Buckner. Since I read that Stanley was a good signer TTM (100% in the database) I sent to him first. In just a few days I received it back unsigned with no note or anything. This got me thinking that maybe I'm a jerk and shouldn't be sending a pic of a bad memory in someone's life for them to sign. I certainly wouldn't want that to happen to me. I did write a nice letter explaining that the play was an important moment of baseball history that he was part of, and that's why I wanted the signature, but I was careful to mention his positive accomplishments and that he had a good career.
I'm going to send the pic to Wilson next, but I'm starting to have second thoughts about Buckner. I hear that he'll sign anything that comes with a $10 bill, but I don't want to have to be a jerk to get the sig. If that's the case I'll be happy with Wilson. Does anyone think it's OK to send to Buckner?

No one was happier in the world than Buckner that the Red Sox finally busted the World Series drought a few years back! Stanley is probly just hoping that everyone will forget that he was on the mound when the most famous error of all time happend! That was the best Series ever! The Mets against the Astros to get there was amazing as well! They both should be happy just to be remembered as part of the game. Seriously was there that much to remember about Bob Stanley and his contribution to the history of the game outside of being part of the 1986 Red Sox?

I have seen Buckner photos of the ball going through his legs signed by him. I think Mookie Wilson is a tough TTM so hopefully you at least get the picture back if he doesn't sign it. Good luck.
