I have just acquired the 500th card in my Carey Price collection!
I never thought when this all started in January 2008, with the purchase of an O-Pee-Chee RC, that it would turn into what it has today.
I would like to thank everybody that I've ever dealt with that has helped to build this collection - there are simply too many names to list. You all know who you are.
Because he's the maker of #500 (and I think he may have been for #300 and #400 as well), I'd like to throw a big shout-out to Dr. Price. You, sir, make some fantastic hockey cards - my collection is so much the better for having ITG cards included in it. You may not get to make "rookie cards" but you certainly make some amazing memorabilia cards, which have spanned Carey's career from its beginnings in Tri-City, to the amazing Team Canada run, to the championship run in Hamilton, and of course his NHL career with the Habs. No other company can boast such a claim. I thank you very much.
When it arrives, there will be an accompanying show & tell thread.
What is it? Some of Dr. Price's finest work, and something very fitting for such a landmark card in the PC.Last edited by RGM81; 08-03-2011 at 09:31 AM.

Congrats Rich! Amazing that you got to 500 cards that quickly, but not that surprising considering they make so many cards of him lol

I'll have to do one in the near future - it's been a while because I enjoy looking at the current configuration so much! LOL
Thanks everybody for the nice words - as Jordan said, it's amazing to have reached this level even with the volume of cards that have been made for young Mr. Price. It's crazy that even with 500, I don't even own a third of what's out there. There's just so many short-printed cards; in fact, just under 1000 of his 1500 cards have a print run of 50 or less. In my pithy little collection about 100 fall in that category. So it's a nice little array in there, many of which will be shown off pretty soon. :)

Congrats on such a large collection!! I did also have a look at your tracker and I just pulled this card not on there:
2008-2009 Upper Deck MVP 1 on 1 auto's Carey Price and Tuukka Rask #A-PR
Not a bad pull for a $10 Blaster box considering the odds are 1:720. I am not sure of BV as it is not listed in the new but would consider offers if you are interested.
