Greetings!
Hello, my name is Nick, and I am a newbie around here. I collected cards as a kid in the 80s and 90s and haven't revisited the trading scene until lately.
Compared to many here my collection is modest at best, and I am not sitting on any big vintage winners, but I have a decent collection for a kid saving to buy cards after baseball and basketball games.
Looking forward to selling and buying, learning the lingo and the set-up around here, and I have enjoyed looking around the forum for the past few weeks.
All the best,
-Nick

I have questions, but they are not necessarily about this site in particular. If I want to make a payment via Paypal (gift), or receive a payment via Paypal (gift) does that eliminate the fees incurred by me and the seller?
Seems to be a nice deal for a sale.
And in general, is payment made before or after the card(s) are received? Or does it vary based on individual?
Glad to be here,
-Nick

I can already see some of the literally amazing collections, buys, and sells here. I've been looking for only a week and I wanted to join to get back into the action.

Hey buddy, welcome to the site :)
In answer to your questions .... If you make a paypal gift paypal, you have to pay the fees, so the seller dont have to pay fees .... if your the seller, the buyer pays the fees so therefore you dont :)
And about the payment ... if you have under 20 trader rating you have to send the card, before someone pays you .. or you have to pay before someone sends you a card .....

Hey Nick, welcome to SCF!
If you send via Paypal gift, there are no fees. DO NOT DO THIS THOUGH!! You lose all protection. Plus, Paypal is a business, and this is basically cheating them for using their services.
Payment is usually sent before the card arrives, to help cover shipping.
Remember, until you hit 20 trades, you must send first.
Enjoy SCF; BTW, what does your username mean?
