    Question about a baseball

I Recently picked up a signed baseball from a good freind who had it signed back in 1994. Its signed in blue pen and the autograph looks great. The ball that is signed is made from a company called FOTOBALL out of san diego. The ball looks and feels just like other ROMLB that I have. I was curios if anyone had any other info on the company and does anyone think the auto on the ball will fade? Here is a picture of the marking on the ball.

I see these badly faded on ebay every now and then. The pure and simple truth is anything other than ROM/A/NLB is going to be of inferior quality.

As for the fotoball I'm going just from memory here so forgive me if I'm mistaken but I think ballpoint will fade while sharpie stands a better chance. I'd search ebay to double check.

I have a few of those signed from when I was a kid and pen just bleeds horribly into it.

When did they start to bleed? The signature on the ball I got is from 17 years ago and hasnt bled at all. The bleeding is the thing I was worried the most about.

    See jyosi3's Items on eBay

It feels just like a ROMLB? Every photoball I ever got as a giveaway or promo item felt like plastic and pens bled very badly on them.

It feels just like a ROMLB right down to the stitching. I pitched from little league until right before I graduated from college and I can feel no difference. I remember getting somo of the promo giveaway fotoballs and them being very soft compared to a ROMLB baseball. Ill post a scan of the auto and to me I dont see any bleeding. I think I may be good since the ball was signed in 1994. I only paid my freind $15 for it cause he didnt want it.

looks like it held up suprisingly well. i know i have a bunch of photoballs that were give aways, mostly things to comemorate AS games, WS games, old players (actually have a carlton photoball, think that was from burger king). personally i wouldn't get them signed on purpose, they just look cheap.
just curious, what is that logo under the signature?

Its a taj mahal logo. It was from a special event they did at the Taj for Carlton the year he was inducted in to the HOF.
