I was going to make you an offer until I saw your comment about the trade manager. Your personal info in the profile is not viewable by everyone. The reason that part was instituted was there have been far too many scammers. You've been on here long enough to know that. What do you think the staff is going to do with your personal info ? You give your address to the person you are trading with, why can't it be in your profile for the staff to see ? If you are not willing to list your info, then you seem to be the one that has an issue with trust.

I'm sorry, but that is highly insulting. This is the computer age, and I am well aware of the risks of personal information being out there. I also don't want people calling me because it's been an entire ten days and they think they've been ripped.

If you have a problem with me taking this position, then I am very sorry we will no longer be able to trade with each other. It will be a loss to me, at least.

Zach, the only people that can see your phone # is the staff. Also, we don't take any action on trades that aren't at least 14 days old because we know that sometimes things get goofed up at the post office or whatever.

Call me stubborn, call me just annoyed, but I've been trading here before even the trade agreement forum was made, I didn't like that, never used it when i didn't have to. I didn't like the trade manager, and I just don't like this. This is just me being angry, and not even getting into the privacy part. It's not that I don't trust you guys, it's that you can't trust us. I know you're trying to make a safe trading environment, but this is just too much. TR was never like this even in the old old days. There are other ways to do it besides taking information from people.

I'm sorry you feel that way but if you could see the behind the scenes crap that we go through with bad traders, then you would understand that something had to be done to help weed out the bad apples. We feel that we are doing the best thing to keep the site safe. We know that we aren't going to please all of the people all of the time but that's how it goes. We will ban anyone that is found to have given false information if contact is attempted and not made because of the bogus info. No exceptions. We feel that this will help keep most of the dishonest people out if they don't want to give their real name & phone number. I understand your concern but realisitcally, if someone wants to find out your phone number, they can find it online. You can find a phone number from an address and an address from a phone number. I mean you aren't posting your soscial secrurity number, bank account or any vital information. I think you are right to be concerned but I also think it's a little paranoid to think that just anyone will have access to your info on this site. In the end, you are goingto do what you feel is best for you, and I wish you luck with that. Just be aware that the staff can not & will not moderate any trades that are not made with the trade manager.

I understand the risks. I'm pretty good with spotting the bad ones from the start. Haven't been rippen in over 250 on-line trades.
