Question about pricing my graded card.

I have a 2001 Upper Deck EX Auto RC of Drew Bress / 150. Its Graded 9 Mint (graded by becket) it books for 300. In the front of Beckett Magazine it shows how to price a graded mint card from ?-2011 it says a Graded mint card from whenever-2011 is worth 100%-200% .

So my question is what bv should I Put on the card? And do people actually bump up autos becouse of bv?

Going by that math, it would be worth $300-$600. Pretty large gap. The real worth would be gauged by the market and would be worth whatever people wanted to pay for it.

A PSA 10 Rickey Henderson RC "books" for $6,500, but some have paid over $10k easy. Graded cards are tough to put book values on from what I can tell. If someone REALLY wants the card, they'll pay whatever they have to.

For a little comparison, a 2001 Upper Deck Brees Auto #'d to 500 sold for $378. It was graded a PSA 10 which usually carries a pretty big premium over a PSA 9.

I had another long time member here try and tell me anything graded a 9 was worth 4x BV. Pretty absurd. PM me with better details and I'll see if I can find it. I don't know what set Upper Deck EX is.

Yeah if your in becket its under just EX not upperdeck ex

There is no grading pricing for that card and the card appears to have dropped to $200.

Grading of such a modern, low-numbered auto card seems unnecessary. I think the pricing would be solely comprised of the scarcity, rather than the grade. Unless you are getting a "10" back on the grade, I cannot imagine much of a premium coming your way. If anything, I think grading could hurt a card such as this--as one would expect even a raw modern such as this to bring a "9" all day.

I'm much in line with booyahlaw's thinking - with the avenues that we have as collectors to send our cards back to the manufacturers for replacements if there is a damaged card out of the pack, I think that a card should be at least a 9 right out of the box. There are, of course, condition-sensitive products like Black Diamond or premium products with their thicker-stock cardboard, and I think that's why a Sidney Crosby Black Diamond graded 10 would command a large premium over its standard BV.
