Can someone....
Show me what a Cal Ripken Jr. autograph looks like on a baseball?
I ask cause I went to the local swappers meeet (farmers market) and there were these two kids, probably 13 or 14 selling all this memorabilia, alone. And one of the kids had what he claimed was a Cal Ripken Jr. autographed baseball. I have never gotten or seen his signature, so I had nothing to base it off of. The kid had no certificate of authenticity (although those aren't as meaningful as they once were), picture of him signing it or anything to prove it was authentic, so being the smarta$$ I am I offered him $7 (all I had left after buy some mini donuts and a few commons for TTM), he (of course) said no and wanted atleast $45, which still seemed low to me. So I said to him "Well you can't prove to me it's legit, why would I pay $45, when for all I know you could of wrote it." He came back with "That's not my handwriting...He signed it for me" I said back "Well I've never seen your handwriting and you can't prove he signed it, so how is $10?" but being the stubborn little teenager he was he didn't budge (which I didn't expect him to), so I left and I doubt he sold it. But just for the heck of it, I was wondering if anyone could show me one they got IP or TTM? I would like to see if I missed out on a steal or if the kid was trying to rip someone off. lol Thanks.

$45 isn't a steal for a Ripken without a coa so I wouldn't worry about it.

Same as Jyosi said. If you're not sure of a legit sig, just walk away! There are tons of Cal's signed items floating around...

There are some similarities but the two big differences I see (based on the pic and what I remember) the J was a lot smaller and didn't have that extra line at the top (?) going to the right (in the pic). Thanks, I wanted to just see what a legit one looked like and compare it. Too bad he didn't take my $7 offer. lol from the sounds of it $45 was too much even if it was/is authentic. haha
