Question: About BV
I am still getting used to the hobby. Just started collecting this year again. I was wondering how much the patch or stick effects the actual value.
For example:
Martin St. Louis Artifacts Patch BV 15$
Paul Stastny Luxury Suite Stick BV 15$
Now I would assume that the BV would actually be higher for these cards that I have, or does it not change that much. If anyone could help explain that would be awesome!

most collectors now dont follow BV as much. its more on ebay prices. you have two nice cards, especially the Stastny.

Many collectors, as noted above, don't really follow Beckett's pricing too closely and will instead look at the market for a particular player and his completed sales. If there's a dedicated collector of St. Louis or Stastny out there, they will have a strong understanding of what a particular card's value range would be, given that they have spent money/traded cards similar to that one in the past. When you get into unique patches like the St. Louis, there's sure to be a premium relative to a 1-colour all-black patch. Stick stuff, I don't know as well but I'd imagine it's a similar thing: a cool piece will get you more than a bland "wood colour" piece.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...
