    NOt sure why this is in the Politics and Religion page, but I'd bet that if college wasn't such a huge business that we'd have U.S. pro teams doing the same thing with talented young athletes. Who knows if this kid will pan out or not. It will be interesting to see if he's the next Danny Almonte. I'd bet that it's a good chance that he'll be even more or a spoiled brat since a top pro team is wanting him at 7 years old. Think of the sense of entitlement he'll probably end up with.

    I look at it as of the politics of sports. Should a child that young be allowed to play professional sports? Why or why not?

    He won't actually be playing for a few years. They just signed him to train him.

    yeah, looks like he's not playing pro soccer. He's just signed into their training camp. I guess top soccer teams have programs for youth soccer players where they get training and schooling. Sounds like a good thing for the kids. He's not paid anything but gets to attend their camp/school.
