Minnesota Twins question
I recently sent out to Matt Capps and Jim Thome at the Minnesota Twins address only to have my mail RTS'd with a new address on the yellow sticker:
Minnesota Twins Community Fund
1 Twins Way
Minneapolis, MN 55403-1418
Are the Twins now charging for autographs? If so, does anyone have prices? Has anyone else encountered this?

Hmmm maybe they are doing that charity autograph thing. I don't know anything about the Twins specifically, but it couldn't hurt to give it a try with 5 bucks or something just to feel it out for a guy like Joe Mauer.

In regards to Thome, he has always been a great signer TTM and IP, so I feel like he's the kind of guy that after his HOF induction he would start signing c/o his home for free or pretty cheap, so I wouldn't necessarily drop 20-25 on him if he is signing for the charity.

I received the same sticker on Denard Span and Brian Duensing when I sent to them early July. I simply wrote a new envelope out with the address on the sticker and sent it back.
Received both of them signed using that new address.
Do you remember if you used the address 34 Kirby Pucket? If so, I don't think that address is working anymore.

yeah, it was the 34 Kirby Puckett one. I just didn't want to send back to this new address if it was a money thing without any money. Thanks for the heads up I'll try the new address and go from there.

It wouldn't suprise me if they are starting to charge...they are the worst team I have ever graphed in any sport, if they arent charig $10-$15 they usually arent signing...I am no longer a fan of them cause I haven't gotten an autograph before any game I've been to since the '06 season (about 10-15 games). To make it worse the layout/pricing at the new stadium is awful.

This suprises me quite a bit I have had great luck with inperson at games and TTM wise. And they have always been good when the meet fans by chating with them and stuff.

I've had good luck with them as well IP, albeit always on the road or in spring training.

As Cyberer said, the Twins were awesome this spring. I only went for one day and got Joe Mauer, maybe I just was lucky but there was this other guy who I was talking to down there that went for 3 days and got almost everyone.
I'm sure the volume of people going for Twins autos at Target Field exceeds the amount of people at spring training and on the road which is probably a big factor to why it's difficult to get Twins in Minnesota. Also, it sounds like the security isn't too friendly at Target Field.

I have usually had great success with them through the mail in the past. I can't imagine a whole team just changing their signing habits, especially since I see some successes both on here and on other personal TTM websites.
