UD Replacement Thoughts
I am not sure what I should but I am not happy with my replacement I redeemed a ILYA KOVALCHUK
2010-11 NHL SP GAME USED LETTER MARKS #'D TO 50 in jan. and received these as replacements today.
08/09 jordan staal ice scripts and
10/11 nick johnson future watch auto /999
In my opinion I should have at least gotten a malkin auto or something /50 I realize Ilya's not worth a crosby or ovechkin and didn't expect a whole lot but something low numbered would have been nice. i dont think its close i mean to give you a dated card, and a nick johnson(who?) i dont think it adds up.
plus a lettermark, isnt just an auto.
its a patch auto, and sell pretty well

yeah as a fellow pens fan you got ripped off on that one. give them a call you might get something else from them. They have been giving nice replacements

Talked to Upper deck today and the said said he understood but the stall books at 40 and the kovalchuk books at 50 so the johnson was to make up the difference. he said he was going to send me an extra card that books at 30 probably a malkin jersey card. still not happy and that is why I have stopped breaking upper deck products. So I pull a case hit and they send me 2 cards that sell for 2$ and 8$ nice. can't wait to see what they send me next.

Yeah, I wouldn't be too happy. I mean, getting something extra (Malkin) is nice, but it still doesn't make up for what you pulled.
And this is coming from a guy who thinks a Kovalchuk should never be higher than $10, no matter what it is.

I don't understand. You spoke with a CS rep who was using BV? I thought their policy was to use ebay value, street value.

I thought so too but the guy told me they use book value. I told him that the ice scripts were selling for 7 to 8 dollars and I had no reference for the kovalchuk but team and letter marks sell for at least 30$. I also asked if I could return the staal and johnson and they could send me something better and he said no. I don't think there is anything else I can do.
