8x10 question
I know this has been covered a hundred times but I am about to send out my first batch of 8x10"s ever & want to make sure my results are a good as possible.
First question is there anything I need to do to prepair a photo for a sig like we do with cards? These are all glossy photos?
One of the photo"s is black & white. How does a silver sharpie hold up on those photo"s? Do they look nice? Was also thinking of maybe sending a gold deco pen. Thought that might really "pop" on the photo also.
Thoughts..

Don't have an answer for your second question, but I've sent out 8x10 photos and so far my only TTM return was a glossy photo and it looks great. In my IP experience, the rules for cards doesn't appear to go for photos as well.

No need to prep. Gold on b&w photos looks amazing, silver tends to look hidden on b&w pics.

I agree with this. I also send a sharpie with every picture (I send out 11x14's). I hate it when players sign in pen or black when I want blue. I love getting black and whites done in gold. I use the gold Elementz Metallic markers from Walmart that are 2 for $1. I can afford to add a .50 cent marker in every request to make sure it looks good and it is in the color I want. I also send mine in toploaders that I cut out the front on so they do not have to remove the picture to sign. It also protects the corners in the mail. I also attach that to a cardboard backing because my mailman likes to fold my mail even though the mailbox is plenty big enough.
I have posted this image before, but this is with the gold Elementz marker. Have them sign in the darkest spot possible. You can attach a sticky that says please sign here with an arrow and 99% of the time they will sign it where you want.

You should never have to worry about a marker holding up or prepping. The only time you should worry is if you send a silver Sharpie or paint pen, they may shove it in before it dries.

That photo with that marker looks absolutely stunning. Def going to go with GOLD on the black & white & i'll prolly go with the Elementz like you suggested. 2 for a buck is to good of a deal to pass up.
