I get it with the current players, but for retired stars..... makes even less sense.
I know for Bill Ranford..... 07-08 The Cup Limited Logos, they used a Bruins jersey. No problem with that (it was kind of nice to see some memoribilia other than Edmonton, despite the Oilers being my favorite team) but they still pictured him as an Oiler on the card. Should have just made it a Bruins card!
I know I've seen some Al MacInnis or Doug Gilmour (or both??) stuff floating around, where it's Calgary patches, but picturing them other teams. WHY???? Why not just make a Calgary card of them??

ITG makes sure the photo on the card matches the jersey, UD doesn't seem to care.

Here is the example of the Leetch I'm talking about. Same set, two different team jerseys.

That's correct Sean.
Some 'great' examples:

I've seen also Devils patch in this card.

The UD Jersey Card Special: player shown in Team A uniform, listed as Team B, with memorabilia piece from Team C.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

Those cards used to bug me. My solution? Make a small PC of JSY cards where the picture/team/swatch don't all match.
The pinnacle of that collection at the moment is a Marian Hossa BD Quad JSY. Listed as a Blackhawk, pictured as a Red Wing with swatches from a Thrashers jersey (might be a Senators snuck in there as well.)

Here's another example (don't get me wrong, I love all of my Big Al cards):

and one (of many) from my quad jersey set:

Kind of leaves something to be said about white swatches...you never know what team they're from :-)

I have a huge problem with the Gilmour St.Louis Jerseys.
Gilmour was already in Toronto when the Blues added the Red Colour to their new jerseys at the time.
Not only is the Jersey that represents the card incorrect, I don't believe he ever wore a Blues Jersey when they had the red in them. I might be wrong, but I think he was gone, so a chance that it's not even his jersey.
Not surprising coming from Upper Deck.Last edited by centrehice; 08-12-2011 at 01:34 PM.

Gilmour patches with red could have been from a legends game or something, maybe?
