Trading Etiquette
Is sending a card with bad edges/corners/creases/scratches etc. bad trading etiquette? Knowingly or unknowingly sending a card in some damaged state to me is. I feel you should inspect the card before making the trade so you will not be sending damaged goods. I have had 5 trades as of late where I have received cards in conditions I would not sell or trade out of courtesy for the other trader involved. Is this just me and my opinion or am I overreacting? Looking for other opinions. Also kinda similar, noticed more and more dealers at shows selling damaged cards with no type of discount. Let me know your thoughts. thanks.

It is against SCF rules:
5 points - Sending cards that are damaged without letting the other trader become aware of the damage.
(Always divulge any issues with cards in your possession.)
It's possible that they do not see the damage. I always try to check before I accept trades to make sure this doesn't happen.

I am going to start to ask for card condition, I thought there would be an unspoken rule between collectors of not trading/selling damaged goods, but apparently not

Heck it's a spoken rule. LOL
If a person is moving out a card they should certainly disclose any significant/noticeable damage on the card before confirming a deal.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

That's what I thought too, so I'm guessing traders aren't checking cards before they send or I wouldn't be having this problem
