I heard them talking about it on the radio yesterday, when the sports station here in Toronto airs their weekly video game show (hosted by Eric Smith). They were talking about what a cool concept this is, and how the legends will be available in every play mode the game offers, including the new ones (apparently a "legends" mode or something).

Myself, personally speaking, if I can't turn that off, I'll find it incredibly intrusive. I'm a bit anal retentive when it comes to my involvement in sports games and the realism factor, and if I were playing a mock 2011-2012 season, and Gretzky and Bourque were scoring on me.... I'd be really annoyed by that. I'd feel like I was playing some kids game. The realism factor would be killed. They've done this before with Madden, and I still didn't like it then. It's just... too far-fetched, IMHO. I just wonder if I'm alone in this.

It would cost too much money to do so, but even if EA Sports made an NHL game today that replicates 50's (or whatever) hockey would be great!

Yzerman confirmed... now he can purposely not pass to Stamkos in order not to inflate his next contract :p

I don't think you're alone. Sometimes I want to play with the exact players on the team, sometimes I want a dream team. Both are definitely fun. I can't imagine doing only one or the other.

I hope the goalies arent gonna be old timers,
they would be beat by the deke everytime!
they would have no clue what that is?!!

I wish they would include the dynasty teams
of days past, the oilers, montreal, flames....
The actual players of the years of dynasty, etc....
