    Kevin Garnett vs Rajon Rondo?

In terms of hobby popularity who has the upper hand and why?

One collector's opinion... My vote is for Garnett. KG has established himself as a hobby favorite with over 5,000 cards produced (reference Beckett.com). Rondo is in his prime right now so it's understandable that he has a bigger spotlight than KG as his career enters its twilight. Rondo could have the upper hand in terms of the volume of cards sold for the next few years, but KG will ultimately be the more popular player when both careers have ended.

KG. He has been in the league longer, has (at this point) a greater chance at being a HOFer, and has just had the better career compared to rondo. That's also why his cards sell for more than rondo.

Rondo. Look at what he accomplished at such a young age!

As a Rondo collector Id say his stuff is harder to get and carries a higher premium than KG right now. I dont even collect KG but I get his cards as throw ins all the time then have a hard time moving them unless I trade under bv. Rondo on the other hand I move almost as fast as I put one up. KG has a solid collectors base in place but since hes been in the league so long they have a massive collection already and seem to be picky about what they pick up now, lol. In 15 years KG will be the more sought after player unless Rondo goes out and wins a championship or 2 without KG/Rondo/Pierce imo, but right now Id say Rondo.
