Card Stores In L.A? Upperdeck Retail vs. Hobby Stores
Hi, I'm heading to L.A soon and Want to know the best store that sells hockey, wax, singles, memorabilia. And I also want to know of the retail upperdeck store is worth checking out, I'm heading down in early september and want to buy a box of the cup, so would I find it cheaper through upperdecks store or another hobby shop? Thanks

The Upper Deck Store in Huntington Beach closed. I don't know if there are other ones.
You're probably better off buying singles in Canada.
Frank and Sons is a sportscard show held on Wednesdays and Saturdays in the City of Industry. Best bet for cheap wax.
Taylor's baseball cards is my favorite in Orange County and the Dugout is close by. Competitive prices on wax.
Burbank Sportscards has good selection, but you don't really browse, but order stuff off their computer. Wax there, I have the impression is more expensive.
Baseball Card Co in Granada Hills has some good selection, small store, good prices, but again, I think most of their cards are packed away in back.

There are no other UD stores in Southern California. The close of the UD store was a major loss.
I go to Frank and Sons quite often, and really like it. Concur, very good prices for boxes, often as good or lower than Dave and Adams. Singles bargains can be found with some luck.
Taylors is crazy pricey, imo.
I definitely recommend Frank n Sons, its a crazy oddball circus worth seeing, with a little of everything you're after.

Orange County and the Dugout, these people erk me for some reason.
It's going to be slim pickings in So Cal.
