    Arrow Chris Drury Retires

SHOCKED no one has posted this.

Dude was one of the most clutch athletes ever to lace up a pair, a HOCKEY GOD. He'll be missed, super classy guy off the ice as well. I wish you the best of luck in retirement Chris!

A good guy that got buried by the expectations of a horrible Glen Sather contract. I'm surprised that nobody took a chance on him at a discounted rate for a season or two.

Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

Like many before him, should never have left the team he had success with.

Great guy, tons of bad luck in the last half of his career.

He never left, Pierre Lacroix traded him to Calgary.

It was the worst move ever made by Lacroix who was always known for his amazing acquisitions like Bourque, Roy, Blake, etc.

I agree, lots of bad luck but what a performer when healthy, absolutely CLUTCH!

It seemed like every single year you'd turn on the TV and they would show highlights of him celebrating with his Sabres or Avalanche teammates after scoring another game-winning or OT goal. 17 of his 47 playoff goals were game-winners. Just amazing how he always seemed to be the guy to pull it off

nice article on it on ESPN:

your right, he should have never left Buffalo, but the ownership situation was completely messed up and the Rangers came with a silly contract. You'd take it also.
