Don't know why Ozzie would want to take his chance at redemption. He should've known Christine would join them based on her attitude against her former tribe. Plus giving the hidden idol to someone on your tribe that has the most chance of flipping after the merge is also dumb.

I didn't understand why he was doing it either for the reasons you have both stated regarding Christine. With that said, I still love the fact that he is doing it. I just wish he would have gave his idol to his biggest ally and not Cochran.

There's no way Savaii would know Christine was willing to jump, she hasn't been outspoken in Redemption Island Arena.. I like big moves.. but this could only turn out to bite Savaii and Ozzy in the ™™™ as it is lose-lose.
It's possible Ozzy could go home (which would make him the most foolish player in Survivor history.. again) and it's all for a numbers advantage which his tribe already had. In Survivor you always stay in as long as possible.. Savaii also didn't think about members of the other tribe defecting.. dumb move.

I agree that they probably wouldn't know how much hatred she has for her tribe. It was the other woman that got snippy with coach and made her displeasure known. I guess one could assume anyone gone to redemption would be flippable when they come back.
The major problem that I see is assuming that the next challenge will be the merge. I'm not really sure why he gave himself up like that. I think a lot of it comes down to a bit of an ego play. Of course my money would be on ozzie to win challenges at redemption but why risk it? It's a cool idea if it plays out and he does win and they do merge but in my opinion it's too risky for him and the team. The fact that he had the idol makes it even more ridiculous.

I believe they brought the person from redemption island back, but the first person voted off after the merge goes back to redemption island.
