First Look at 2011 Topps WWE Classics
opps unveiled its newest WWE trading card line on Tuesday, 2011 WWE Classics, a line that will be an all-foil series including an insert set dedicated solely to the forthcoming WrestleMania clash between John Cena and The Rock. Scheduled to arrive in mid-December, Classics will consist of 90 base cards of Superstars, Legends and Divas, each found with gold parallels. The base set’s design is one that was tested in Topps’ 2011 Target baseball value boxes as Chrome bonus cards.
Here, we’ve traded The Mick for The Miz and gone with foilboard.
Some of the highlights from the base set’s checklist include card No. 1 being the debut for newcomer A.J., while, interestingly, also on the checklist is Eden Stiles, who has yet to make her WWE TV debut, and even a card for Batista.
There will be a 10-card Cena-Rock insert set, meanwhile the autograph and Relic checklists — 16 cards for each — are all TBDs at this time. There will be 24 packs per box and eight boxes per case when Classics arrives in hobby shops.

I am digging that design. Hopefully Swagger really has an auto.

Agreed.. saw the title and got excited but then read about Cena, Batista, AJ, Eden, the Miz etc.. then the pics are all newbies. Might aswell be called Herritage still unless they are adding cuts.

i like it. i am just happy they aren't making us wait like 9 months between products like platinum was to 2011 topps. as long as it has newer autos I'm in.

The product does look decent for only seeing a few cards. The title is a little misleading but I guess I can deal with that. Hopefully they will get wrestlers who haven't signed to do the autographs this year. Tired of getting the same guys each set.
geoffyb- I guess you don't count them releasing WWE Champions between Platinum and 2011 Topps.

i actually didn't count champions as it was geared more towards kids and retail sales. it was just base wrestling cards with autos thrown in here and there
