    Thread numbering system?

    I was thinking of a contest that goes along the lines of "The 24th valid on topic post in the 10,000,000 thread wins x" But I'm not sure if the numbering for each thread is specific to a section of the board. I'm thinking its not but wanting to double check.

    IE: Section 1 is 9 thousands, section 2 is 8 thousands and so forth.

    I've seen this kinda game before but their threads just went up and weren't specific to a section. This is a way to get people to help/contribute but remain on topic.
