    Sending Mini Helmets TTM

    What would be the best way to package these to be shipped and returned to you? Anyone have anu experience with this?

    woule be an expensive loss if they arent good signers. I would try a card in a letter and ask the player if they would consider signing a helmet. Otherwise, you would be out $20 plus shipping (both ways). I would be out of the hobby quick!!!

    It would be a player I'm certain would return (Erskine, Doerr, Bunning, or Irvin) so I'm not too worried about that if I do do it. Was just curious as to how to actually package it up.

    a box within a box, maybe some foam peanuts or those air bags you get in shipping packages and insure it

    I'd just get 2 priority mail bags since they fold up easily and put one inside the other. Shipping will be between $5 and $8 each way depending on how far the helmet is going. Plus the bags are free at the post office so you don't have to waste money on boxes or special envelopes. I know a lot of people are worried about damage during shipping, but a hard plastic helmet is not going to break in the mail. I wouldn't waste any money insuring a $20 helmet. Actually if you are talking about baseball minis you would be insuring a $10 helmet which makes even less sense.
