Sid, hi, well stated. I use to collect for the trill of sport, then got out of collecting all together. Now, in my mid 40's I decided to have a family. I've now restarted all over again for my son (Colt, 1 1/2 yoa). I've noticed I still have a passion for cards. It's still fun. I felt like this would be something fun for us to do together someday, and why not surprise him when he gets a little older, of course, with a nice little collection. It should be vintage by then, right? I just picked up a real nice 1958 Stan Musial and 1962 Hank Aaron; trying to get a few REAL vintage cards saved up for him. I collect all sports, mainly base star cards and rookies. I generally look for a few GU or auto cards, but I'm still partial to the rookie card and trying to collect as many base/insert cards of star players of all sports. They're all valuable to me.
