Game Used/Worn Equipment Theread

Hi guys

this thread is for collectors to talk about game used/game worn equipment, such as any upcoming auctions, sales, prices, or anything to do with game worn or used equipment.


I know that I always see auctions that are ended that I woulda really liked to place bids in..so thats part of the reason I created this :)

At least you see auctions, I'm stuck with the dilemma of collecting players who are totally out of the public eye (Irbe, Szuper), and GU stuff of them not on cards is extremely difficult to find now.

Yes, I do have an awesome Irbe GU stick that is signed by him as well, but I have never come across jerseys, or equipment worn by Irbe (though I have put in a request for them with the Meigray people). Szuper, well, unless you know of someone who'd sell a Hanover Scorpions GU jersey, or an Arizona Sundogs jersey, I think I am all out of luck with GU of him.

Still, no card, no matter how 1/1 and shiny it is, could ever beat a full game-used piece of equipment of a favorite player.

Well put, its 100% true. A card is a fabrication, a live piece of something they used to play? Nothing fabricated about that.

Only thing I own which I really like and will never part with is a Darcy Tucker Game Used Autographed Glove from when he played with the Leafs, so luckily the glove is blue lol. Its back home in newfoundland on my top shelf where it will stay completely out of harms away until i buy my own house and buy a nice case to put it in.

nhl.com has alot of cool game used items during the season, not so much right now. Im not a Boston fan, but they had playoff game used jerseys for sale on there. Where else could you get those? They also had the USA olympic jerseys. Ive never bought anything from there, but you can pick up a game used practice jersey for 100 dollars all day of a few teams. Buying from that site you know the items are legit.

yeah, the nhl auctions have some really cool stuff. They update it everyday, by putting in signed jerseys, pucks, game used gear, etc. Its a really awesome website :)
