That's it right there. It would be nice to see something different, though.

Actually, it reminds me of the International Ice release from a few years ago. They even brought back the "My Country, My Team" subset.

looks like another hit from ITG to me! I just wish they could do a set like this for the USA or other countries once in awhile. Though I realize a massive chunk of the market is Canadians, it seems...not sure if unfair is the right word to use, but just seems like other countries should have a set of their own too, Canada has had plenty of insert sets, game used sets, auto sets etc. over the past couple years especially (UD's Clearly Canadian and 20th Anniversary WJC Team Canada SPs are perfect examples). I apologize if it sounds like I'm complaining, I still LOVE the look of this and will likely buy a box still haha.

TMacfreak91 we did do the entire Miracle on Ice team with hard signed autographs in Decades The 80s.
Our creativity comes from the types of products we produce. All of our products are themed and we don't simply use the same players over and over in products that simply choose different names that have no meaning.
Decades The 80's, Heroes and Prospects, Between The Pipes, Canada vs The World all totally different concepts for collectors. This year we will be producing Decades The 90's, Enforcers, Captain-C and other themed sets.
We do the best we can with the restrictions we are forced to work with, not complaining, just explaining.
When you do six players with memorabilia on cards, there is very little left of the card for elaborate designs. Add to that the player names, the product name, the insert name and our logo and your done.
Perhaps this year we will hold a design contest and all those who are complaining could submit. Maybe we're missing something, maybe not.
Do you think those who are complaining would participate?

A few things here Doc:
1. I'm with Rich, if I had a drop of artistic talent in my body, I'd give a crack at a design, but I think I'll stick to player/subset suggestions if and when they pop into my head. Are the quad and six pieces a little plain for my taste? Maybe, but when you cram four or six beautiful pieces of memorabilia on there with superb player selection, I think I can live with it
.
2. Can you possibly give us a rough guestimate as to the price point for this product at release?
3. I've noticed you have gone from a box setup to a "hits" pack, 80's, and now this. Is this something we're going to see in most upcoming releases? Personally, ITG base has been some of my favorite, 02/03 Parkhurst Retro is the only base set I have kept in my personal collection, and the 1972 base wasn't too shabby either.
4. A little off topic here, but I'm glad to see you will be producing Decades 90's, super excited for that release as I grew up in this era and will definitely be opening a few boxes/packs/whatever format it comes in! (Russian Five subset?
)

If people would like to talk about Canada v. The USA Hockey Jargon, ITG's designs, and so forth, you are more than welcome to create a new thread in the appropriate forum.
This thread is for discussion of the ITG product Canada vs. The World. Let's keep it that way.
On very much related note, the checklist was posted this morning on the ITG website. It can be viewed here: http://www.itgtradingcards.com/produ..._cvw_info.html
Lots of Carey Price, and there's even a Ken Dryden memorabilia card honouring the 1972 Summit Series. I am certainly going to be grabbing some of these.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

So, no Irbes in the checklist so far. At least there might be an autograph card in there somewhere.
Looks like a great product as usual, though.

Well, as I expected..... I'm now excited to be buying a few boxes of this stuff.
Ranford showing up on quad jersey cards with Lindros, Roenick, and Hull.... plus another one with Lindros, Messier, and Fleury (no doubt both cards are related to the 1991 Canada Cup).
He even showed up on a couple of the non-memoribilia inserts. Great Moments, and Protecting Canada's crease (/w Belfour). I assume the second one is a 1991 Canada Cup card again..... but interested to find out of the Great Moment was his Canada Cup MVP or 1994 World Championship Gold... which was Canada's first since 1961.
Hope they put him in the autograph checklist too!

Auto checklist is up now too..... and a Ranford card is in the mix there too!
(Irbe too.... I know I wasn't the only one waiting to see that list!)
