well that particular card didn't sell. A list price can be anything the seller wants to enter. Looks like he sent it to auction so we'll get a better value of market price.
I just picked up a huge MJ lot friday. Will be listing it this week or weekend. The last collection I did great with. I just sort of happened into a collection of 1000 MJs and ended up having a ton of inserts and premium cards. I had no idea they had spiked in price.
The 90's inserts have seen a pretty nice revival as of late. Not a lot of wax out there and some are just very nice inserts that you don't always see in the newer product these days.

If they are high end I would sell individually and the lower end inserts I'd sell in small lots. Selling in one large collection will usually bring in a much lower selling price because you will typically attract only people that want to buy it to break it up. It's work to do that but will effect your bottom dollar greatly. The two collection I've bought recently were form guy that just wanted to move them and not have to put in the time listing them. They got a lot less for them that way.

After reading a couple more boards about MJ's crazy spike lately I am starting to believe that everything will cool down soon and all his inserts that are going at a certain price will cut down dramatically after all is settled(besides the rare inserts such as pmg, those will still have a steady price imo)

Might want to follow these to get a better idea of what people will actually pay. One of them is graded PSA 9

Well the thing is here is that these two cards are completely different and i know that the 1997 platinum portraits is the one that goes for more and is more high end

The high end stuff could be shill auctions that aren't actually selling, but my lower end inserts did very well.
The 1000 card lot was probably 500-600 regular base and a few hundred each of inserts and premium base stuff. I ran through that crazy fast. The new lot has about 280 inserts and 480 base, but the inserts are much lower end. There's probably only 10-15 cards that are worthy of listing by themselves. The rest are in 10-20 card lots. They sold very well last time around so I'm hoping the same will happen.
