Question thinking about switching it up....

hey everyone..i was wondering if i can get some input on this ..ok,,lately i have been thinking about the way i collect..what i mean is basically i collect high end hockey and nothing else..but i have been leaning towards switching it up a little bit..now here is the dilemma..and this is where it get's weird...i am thinking about certain players from one team..BUT!!! i am a huge bruins fan, born and raised in boston mass..but the thing is you would think i would want to collect players from the b's..nope..i want to collect..taylor hall..magnus paajaavi..eberle..and certain others from the oilers...i am already kicking myself for selling probably the best oilers piece i owned ( briefly) hall's golden ticket..i love the bruins and always will..but a part of me really likes the oilers and the direction they are going..i think they are going to be a heck of a team..they already showed that last year...so being a bruins fan and wanting to collect the oilers..is that dumb???

Not at all - if you lean towards collecting high end only, the Oilers would be a sensible choice...more cards with higher value than the Bruins, that's for sure! One thing that worries me about some of the players in the Oilers big $$ industry as of late is that they may not all remain in the spotlight of the hockey card world. All of the $$ people have been sinking in to some of these player's lots lately may not be a sound investment, but then again, maybe they will - that's part of the fun of this hobby - it is kind of a gamble.
As a whole, the Oilers do show great promise within the next few years, but time will tell. Best of luck with whoever you decide to collect, and congrats on your Bruins winning top glory this year! You must be proud!

Honestly, you could collect either one b/c like MacinnnisCollector said, "if you lean towards collecting high end only, the Oilers would be a sensible choice" or you could collect Bruins as part of your PC and keep doing high end Oilers for PC as well.
