Given the hype behind the past season, this has not been a good summer for the NHL.

He played for my hometown team in England.
He was genuinely a caring and funny person, such awful news.

Terrible news. They originally posted an article saying he committed suicide but apparently there was nothing to back it up so they changed it. Originally it read "Wade Belak Kills Himself" =(
I always liked Belak as a player, he put everything into his game. Protected his teammates and played about every position short of goalie for the leafs. He will be missed I was hoping he would get into reporting as he is too funny.
My thoughts go out to his family and friends and the Leafs nation mourns him. On a personal note I remember cheering like mad when he goat his first goal in almost 2 years. RIP

A funny, endearing guy, typical to Saskatchewan and Saskatoon. So unfortunate that things like this happen.

I will always remember him talking on the morning show for 102.1 The Edge. He made the show better with each call in.
