    To Redeem or not

I opened a case of the Cup and my case hit was a Gretzky/Lemieux Programme of Excellence /5. Pretty sweet!!!

Should I redeem and then sell it once I receive the card or sell it as is so someone else can redeem it.

Bottom Line: Which would bring in more or is it not a big deal?

    Thanks.

Live cards ALWAYS bring in more than redemptions. Also, with 2 players of that caliber, there is no chance that the value will decrease with time (ex: if it was a Hall/Eberle it's value would fluxuate WILDLY depending on how they are playing once you had received the card).

    Redeem it. Then sell it.

Pretty sweet hit. I'd redeem it myself and then decide once it's in hand what to do. Given that they're both spokesmen for the company, they will definitely sign.

Glad someone else feels the same about Hall/Eberle...their cards will undoubtedly decrease in value, whereas the Gretzky/Lemieux will always be a great investment :-)

    Congrats on the hit!

If I pulled this and did not want to keep it and my main focus was to sell it, why not test the waters of ebay. Put it up with BIN/Best offer and field offers. If it does not get what you want, redeem, wait for it and sell it when it comes in.

It is usually a good bet to sell when the product is new. Strike while its hot. Yes, this has two of the greatest players ever and the value won't drop as big as the rookies do, but who knows. Its worth whatever people are willing to pay for it, if they see it.

Whatever your decision is, good luck to you!

Thanks for all the advice. I'm probably going to list the card as a BIN or Best Offer and see what I get. Right now there's a Gretzky/Messier Programme /5 on the bay so I'm interested to see what that might go for.

    Thanks everyone.
