What do you consider pack searching?

so, i went to wal mart and decided to pick up 2 packs of prestige. I just grabbed 2 randoms ones. I was about to do the flex test on them, but changed my mind. Because i didnt want to be marked as a "Pack Searcher"

So What do you guys consider "Pack Searching" . a simple flex test? or something more?

a flex test is pack searching - pack searching is doing anything past touching the pack - ill make and exception sometimes because if i see a really thick pack, I pick it - but doing anything to gain any knowledge that you can't get simply by holding the pack is pack searching

Some consider choosing a thicker pack over a thin pack is pack searching - it may be, it may not be

but thats as far as Ill go when I'm buying packs

Also, we, the SCF community are not fond of pack searchers...and its not the best move to talk about it - pack searching is cheating the hobby and cheating the kids who want to get into the hobby, but can't afford hobby boxes.

But flex testing is most definitely pack searching

    See elwaycards's Items on eBay

I would NEVER buy single packs at retail unless I watched them open the box right before putting it on the shelves. Everything around here is searched. Pretty crappy thing to do, but some people think it's OK and worth their time.

Yeah i don't even get pack searching - all that trouble to find 2 dollar throw away jerseys....i wouldn't even buy those cards for the price of a pack if given the opportunity

i collect autographs, mainly hof autos, in all honesty, i don't really care how they were gotten. i buy hot packs with guaranteed autographs from a local searcher and off of ebay. all i have to say is, bottem line, its about my collection.

what about the kid that gets 5 base cards now instead of getting the pack with the 1 color jersey.
