Awesome Addition To My Southern Politics Autograph Collection!

Hi guys,

You may or may not already know that I'm currently collecting autographs of politicians who have either served or were born in the South. Well a few weeks ago on Facebook I posted a status update saying I was sending autograph requests out to people (And former President Jimmy Carter was included on the list). Immediately after I posted that I got an e-mail from my Uncle's friend Craig who said-

"Hey Ryan,
You don't have to write a request to Pres. Carter. I can get you a photo no problem.

-Craig"

Now Craig lives in President Carter's hometown of Plains, GA and even lives near his house. He contacted an employee of President Carter and said that he knew someone who collected autographs and asked if he could get a signed photo. The employee said no problem and got Pres. Carter to sign a photo. Well my Uncle delivered it to me yesterday and I love it! It's on an official photo, signed in silver Sharpie, and dedicated "To Ryan". Always nice to get an authentic Presidential signature This is the Holy Grail of my Southern Politics collection! Thanks to Craig, my Uncle, Pres. Carter's employee, and President Carter!

I actually wrote to H.W. a few months ago and got a photo back. It's a cool shot, but I think the signature is AP-

The signature is Definately AUTOPEN. Before people explode and say NO my precious Autograph is not auto-pen let me explain. Look at the BLOOBS of ink in the end of the G, The beginning of the B the vertical line of the B and the end of the H. That is where the AUTOPEN lifts from the paper and makes a big impression. Classic sign of AUTOPEN.....

Definitely is an autopen. Usually if you include the photo it comes back signed authentically with an autopenned inscription (looks really cool). Next time send him the photo!

Yeah I had a hunch it was an AP. Least I have the Carter now
