I fed Hackler an idea that if they do this again next year they should replicate some of the cool misspellings that are on the Stanley Cup for some guys. Only problem with this idea is that somebody will see an "Eric Staaal" and blow a gasket thinking that Panini's people are morons.

Not if the insert name is done right. Call them Silver Flops or Famous Engravvatures. lol

Yeah I saw your comment there. I posted the same comment at the Panini blog that I did here - I wouldn't go so far to replicae misspellings, but I would like to see the engraving done by hand so it doesn't look like a mass-produced laser etching. As they are, Engravatures are similar, in my mind, to manufactured patches.

Dual tag cards out of /12? Really? Come on Panini. Those Engravature cards /10 with the name in a silver plate aren't that great. Should include an auto with the silver name plate.

If there's enough material in a team's tag to make a few more pieces out of them, more power to them. It's going to be brutal enough for me to have to find the 1/1 version, something #'d /12 or similar for the other one is still going to cost.
