    Pirates Charities

They took my money and ran!

Well, I don't know if that is the case but I sent to them, excited that getting back Walker and McCutch were pretty much a solid. I thought is was a "sure thing" so much that I sent specific cards that match the rest of my collection. I specially ordered the McCutch.

I sent them out the 3rd or 4th week of July. I have seen a ton of successes since then. Do you think mine are long gone? Kinda bummed...I'm not sure if they would continue this in the off season, and will probably just have to wait until next year to do it again since I have to find those cards again.

It wasn't a earth shattering donation...only a few dollars for each. I hope it went somewhere worthwhile and isn't sitting on the bottom of some pile somewhere.

I sent to McCutchen in July too. I said "If he is not signing, or involved with the program, please return all the enclosed items to me, I understand completely." Guess they didn't? Seems like a bit of an unorganized joke to me, wouldn't expect much less from a team who's owners would rather make money than win games.

I'd still give them time. I have done the Rockies charity thing before and it took forever. If you don't have your item by then end of October...I'd say it might be a goner! I acutally have an 8X10 of McCuthen out there too. Send around the same time as yours.

    Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

Funny. The day I post this is the day I get my stuff back from them!!! Well, one out of 2. I got Neil Walker back and it looks awesome...

Howver, I got my whole McCutch request back, sent in a Pirates envelope with a form letter that reads that "currently Clint Hurdle and Neil Walker are the only players taking part with the charity.". It goes on to say that McCutch and the rest of the team are not apart of the program as of now but ppl interested can still send them personal letters, but not thru the charity.

Odd? I guess he unofficially signed for the charity and then said, "man signing for a charity is a drag...no more." Nice. Oh well.

I need to whine about stiff not coming back more often. If todays case was any indication of my luck then..."Where is my kiner - berra - evry other sure bet mlb signer - musial - banks - koufax...? Haa. Kidding

It happens to all of us.. I begin to complain/question and it shows up that day or the next. LOL

Looks like I might be getting my letter back tomorrow.. Works for me, at least it's getting returned! Congrats on getting Walker though! Might send to him next season.

Add me to getting my photo back unsigned. Got the letter that he doesn't participate.
