    a dumb question

Firstly, thanks everyone for all the hospitality in response to my "hello everyone" post the other day. What a nice community you all have going on here.

I've been reading over a lot of the posts in what i would think to be the proper places, but 1 very simple thing is escaping me...

what would the standard operating procedure be for bringing cards to the table that you would like to trade or get rid of? I really hate making the newbie mistakes so I'm just going to ask. I've got a lot of football cards I dont want or have any interest in. I get them in groups of anywhere from 5-200 at a time and they change frequently. I dont have any way other then searching on ebay to see these cards values, but i know they are worth a few bucks, and I am guessing they would be of interest to someone around here. many are vintage or numbered and stuff like that.

I don't collect or have any interest in football cards. I do collect vintage baseball and current baseball starting with 2011. Im sure i wouldnt be trading for the vintage baseball that I collect, as I'm sure the values of the football cards I have wouldnt compare to what I'm interested in that department. I do however like the numbered and short print cards of the current baseball issues. I know this makes for a more complicated trading situation, but I figure maybe I could find someone with some interest.

Do I just scan the cards and make a post in the proper area that I'm looking to trade these? I don't want to break any rules or anything like that. I just cant seem to find the straight away protocol of how to do this. Or is the more prefered way to do this "bucket" thing?

I more or less would just like to get some of these cards to a person that would enjoy them, and it would be cool to get something in return that would interest me.

any help would be simply wonderful at this point.

    thanks for your time,

    cory.

Create a list or photobucket and then take the time to look at the football trading forum. You can post your trade list for baseball cards in return. Its rather simple. Have any other questions feel free to ask is

yeah as don pointed out the best way is to make a list..........What I have seen work is to post in the trading area that you are looking to trade for either a list of cards or type of cards like "2000-11 low Numbered baseball stars" you will surprised how much interest you get.

The other thing that seems to work is to separate them into Teams and or players as a lot of folks on here collect those.

    Good Luck!
