The Mark Buehrle Magical Choosing System

Anyone got a clue how this works? In the database, you see a streak of 5 or 10 guys, and then it dies down and you have guys getting no responses. In the same time frame that everyone was getting their Buehrle's during ST, I got nothing.

How does he choose?

no idea either. I do not think he's returned mail from the past month yet, so I feel I still have hope for my latest request but overall, I've sent 3 times and have none back.

photos and cards are two different animals.....just like baseballs are different animals also. For instance, some athletes will not sign cards but sign 8 x 10's and baseballs. I assume because the items being in a larger envelope, it causes them to go to a locker instead of going to a mailbag.

Although in the TTMM there are plenty of successes with cards that he has signed, Deadhorse maybe on to something. I sent him two cards back in "2009" that he never returned. I have always sent him a nice "short" complimentary LOR but the last two successes I had from him were large custom pics. Who knows -

I sent a SI a couple years ago and got it back pretty quick

I just received my photo back from him 2 days ago. It took about 2 and a half weeks.

Players who are hit and miss I usually do different things to my envelope to help it stand out. Use a colored envelope, add his stats on the outside or even draw a small picture.
