I've bought from this seller before. Top-notch individual. How do you call someone a bad ebayer when it could be a postal or customs delay?

Two people can mail the same item to the same place at exactly the same same time- but if customs decides that they are going to pick every 10th item (and you are it) for inspection to check location, contents, and shipper, then you will have to wait. Most of us get lucky and it is scanned and sent through but #10 is going to mighty unhappy when he gets his package opened and re-sealed and 3-6 weeks late.

I have had items take 3-4 weeks from here to the USA becuase of customs delays and god knows what, and my rating takes a hit and i have gotten bad feedback as a result, people need to be a bit patient, ive had people messaging me demanding a refund a week after they paid......its cardboard people when its in transit its out of the sellers control, and ive had 2 packages in the HUNDREDS ive sent out that have gone "missing" and one i know for a fact did arrive and the guy stiffed me. It will get to you, the postal system is variable, Ive been noticing that things i buy are taking longer to get too. But i dont call out an ebay member by name for something out of his control. If he shipped out in a reasonably fast fashion, you should be blaming the postal service

Thanks for the input everyone, I'm hoping you're right and it's just in customs right now.

Mail from Canada is not taking 45 days. There are no customs delays coming into the USA unless something is Registered, then count on an extra week

I have now received 15 mails from Canada since the Postal Strike ended. I live in Oregon and am a Canadian and have also live in 5 Provinces as well as 6 States.

Time to receive from Canada to Oregon

Vancouver & Area - 2 Mailings 9 days max for both

    Montreal - 4 Mailings - 11, 12, 13, and 16 days max

    Toronto - 2 Mailings - 12 days both

    Rural Ontario - 3 Mailings - 11, 12, and 13 days

    Calgary - 2 Mailings - 11 days, 13 days

    Edmonton - 2 Mailings - 9 days and 12 days

If you are waiting 45 days already from time of Payment, you are being ripped-off, I'm glad you opened a case, you will at least get your money returned.

Americans are allowed much more in Duty Free Goods than Canadians. Also if you send a bubble envelop into the USA it Does NOT have to have a Customs Form, When you send a bubble to Canada, it's a package and must have a Customs form.

Canada Customs witholds packages for as much as 14 days, USA Customs doesn't even see packages unless there is a Customs Form and their maximum is 2-3 days max.

I don't think this is always the case, but in general I tend to agree.

Since the postal strike ended, I've received almost every package coming from the U.S. within two weeks and I've had the same experience with items going the other way. I find that for many sellers (and this isn't aimed at this particular Ebayer) the slow postal service is often blamed instead of the seller who took a week and a half to mail the item.

Opening a case is a good idea. The worst that happens is that you get the card, and close the case.
