I feel bad for Shields as he just lost his father and had a tough weight cut. I don't think he was mentally right in the cage tonight. Props to him for going through with the fight tonight.

Yeah I honestly don't think Shields was mentally their tonight, rightfully so though. I'm glad he took the fight, and really glad Ellenberger proved why they call him the JUGGERNAUT

true, shields had a stroke of misfortune, and had every reason to even back out, hes always prepared, and is a warrior, but that knee he got caught with put him on quear street, and was left wide open to repeatative strikes, that happens alot in ufc, happened to gsp against serra part one, its really hard to recover after being nailed with huge strike,not like boxing when ya get a standing 8 count. I dont think that makes ellenberger better really, just the better fighter on this night.

I think shield was due to lose, he overachieved, i met him once so i have and will always be a fan but it was about time
