Hockey raises thousands for rec centre

Former NHLer Brad May says from growing up in small-town Ontario, he knows firsthand how important an arena is to a community.
"All these small communities, the centrepiece is the community centre," he said Saturday, before the start of a fundraising hockey game for Owen Sound's under-construction, $38.6-million regional recreation centre.
