couple of grading ???
I just found a charles barkley 86-87 fleer RC that is graded by PGS (I think professional grading services) as a 9 and the price is pretty sweet. After examining the card, it looks like it is in pretty good shape. My question is A) does anyone have any idea or experience w/ this company and B) does beckett regrade cards from other companies. I know there is a way to get BCCG cards graded using BGS, I'm just not sure about cards graded outside of the beckett company.
Thanks in advance to anyone for looking a/o answering.

I've never dealt with PGS or any company other than Beckett/PSA, So can't really comment on there quality in grading.
BGS does regrade cards slabbed by another company just don't expect the same results, People have mixed thoughts on how they grade as some cards from the naked eye look like they should be a 9 or lower but is slabbed a 9.5 or better, Same for PSA....So just go with what you think is the best for you, Opinions will always be mixed so it may not help your decision.Collecting All Current Las Vegas Raiders, Carmelo Anthony, Ken Griffey Jr, Bo Jackson, Frank Thomas.
plus many more, Also any Legend or HOF raider players as well.
Just getting back into the Hobby so not much tradebait but have some stuff just let me know what your looking for and i will see what i have, No trade List Available yet but i am working on one.

I usually recommend staying away from all grading companys except the big 3 (BGS, PSA, SGC), but I will tell you that I had a good experience with PGS. I had a 1969 Reggie Jackson RC graded NM7 by PGS in 2002. I sent it to PSA a couple years ago, and it came back graded 7.5 NM+. I was expecting to get a 6 based solely on the previous company's grade. I flipped it and made a nice profit on the deal.

All grading company's are quacks. Especially Beckett. That's the only reason why they are still afloat. Their grading service charges are pretty pricey. I've seen some cards graded 9.5's and it was clearly off centered to the naked eye. I agree with some that say grading cards destroyed the hobby. I cool with card authenticating though.
