Hello everyone! Just like most of the other threads I have read, I use to collect now just starting to get back into it. The reason is because I used to love it as a kid and recently I just decided I will go to my storage center (Moms House) to pick up my old collection she kept for me. Unfortunately just like everyone else after doing some research my cards aren't really worth anymore then they where when I was a kid, in fact probably a little less. 80's 90's era pretty much took a nose-dive for value. But none the less I still enjoy it. I do have lots of questions because it has been so long and when I say I am new to coming back to collecting I am talking about two weeks ago i made the decision. So I went out and picked up some Topps Platinum Footballs packs and man did that ole anticipation during ripping open that pack come flooding back in. Anyways I will hop around the forums and get to know this place. I probably wont put anything card-wise on here until I pick up my collection because I don't really remember what I had and I am not even sure how to post what I have. I also really just like football and basketball not really baseball or hockey. I do have tons of questions about the whole grading system that kind of invaded the markets and after seeing the price to grade one card I was a little shocked. Some other questions I have concern pricing is Beckett still pretty standard? Also I have been reading a lot of ebay forums and ebay just doesn't seem to be a very friendly place to buy and sell cards is that pretty much true now-a-days? Anyways I will be around and so far this place seems great for info thanks!

I just joined as well and have the same type of cards! I have many basketball and football cards from the late 80's to 2010! if you want to trade some cards let me know and maybe we can work out a deal or two!

Yeah no worries brother! I am going to be making the trip up to Michigan to grab the old collection and to see if there is anything to salvage. I know I had some in some pretty good protectors but it has been so long since I have went through that stuff there is no telling what I will find. It is actually kind of exciting! In fact if it wasn't for the Moms telling me this stuff needs to get out of her attic since I am married now and have a house that I should be able to start taking up room at my abode, I probably would have left it there for even longer. There are also comics in there and I will probably just sell those at one big lot once I figure out what all I have.
