Just Got This In From Beckett

Got my Ben Gordonin from beckett and they gave it a 9. The thing that brought it down was the surface which got an 8. The surface looks really, really good, so i guess next time ill throw in some bills and maybe they'll give me a higher grade... I expected better....Heres a pic take a look. O and by the way its for sell.

Very nice. It sucks the surface brought it down to a 9. I thought about sending in my Gordon gold refractor auto, but the surface might be like that one, which would suck.

On shiny cards the surface always seems to be the killer. But, a 9 is still nice. I know a guy who sent in a similar style card and got a 4 because of the surface.

I really don't know much about the topic, but i've heard that the sticker, yes, the accual autograph sticker counts as surface. I mean that with the sticker being raised, it can accually draw your grade down. Just some word of warn in the future

:new_shock now I remember why I never got any cards graded from Beckett lol

With those rates its amazing people can afford all these gradings on some cheaper cards, like even $10 cards get graded, how do these people rationalize it?!
